| HOW IT WORKS | | | ContentWise personalized recommendations are generated by combining two mechanisms:
- Collaborative Filtering: all users interactions are analyzed, both in terms of explicit feedbacks (ratings) and usage history (views/purchases), to generate recommendations based on the preferences of other users having similar tastes
- Content-based Filtering: content metadata, such as actor and director names, are analyzed by means of a proprietary algorithm (patent pending), to provide recommendations based on content similarities
Customizable business rules make these mechanisms interplay thus enabling operators to promote specific contents and meet their strategic marketing objectives and maximize revenues. | |
